References from musicians
Foreword from Sasha's Father10 years ago when Sasha was very young and almost nobody knew her, it was very difficult for me to speak about her with people. For them I was just one of the myriad of parents, who were absolutely sure that their child were a genius. Sometimes I thought: "Could it really be that all the accolades I hear from musicians are just a token of common courtesy to me?" After all, we, Sasha's parents, are not musicians ourselves and cannot judge her performance objectively. Nevertheless, Sasha was not an ordinary child. When we taught her older brother, she watched us and followed easily. When she was one year old, she had knew all the letters and had played with it, at two she had read her 1st book and began to learn calculus on her own. At 6, she advanced enough to solve a difficult arithmetical praxis, i.e. division of 30-digits number by 5-digits number. When she was 3 years old her 5-year-old brother also began to learn how to play the piano, and Sasha tried to do his exercises. Naturally, we decided to take her to a piano teacher as well. After 1,5 years of private lessons, we took her to a music school. She was smaller than the children who were applying with her. When I talk to musicians about Sasha and see even a shred of doubt in their eyes, my first goal is always to get them to hear Sasha playing the violin. Once that is accomplished, a lot of questions go immediately away. Below are some excerpts from the references. But when I talked with administratives who (as me) is not a musician I have to give him references from musicians. Usually I asked Sasha to take references when we need to overcome administrative barriers. You can contact with Sasha and ask about records. |
